Transportation
Transportation has been a cornerstone of ECHO’s mission since our founding, ensuring that individuals with disabilities have reliable access to our full range of programs. We provide daily transportation to and from participants' homes and their ECHO program - whether it’s their employment site or Day Support program - as well as community outings. For many, transportation is one of the biggest barriers to independence, entering the workforce, and participation in communal activities. ECHO’s dedicated fleet and trained drivers help remove this obstacle, offering a safe, dependable way for participants to access opportunities that enhance their skills, build relationships, and engage with the broader community.

As ECHO programs and services have grown, so has our transportation system. We now have 23 vehicles, many of which are wheelchair accessible, that in total average 34,000 miles per month while transporting approximately 160 program participants to and from their homes, worksites, and ECHO programs.
ECHO is now a Logisticare provider which allows individuals funded by Medicaid Home and Communities-based waivers to use ECHO transportation. ECHO also contracts with the Loudoun County Department of Family Services, coordinating VIEW transportation and providing on-demand transportation for their clientele.
