ECHO Coffee Roasters was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to do meaningful, equitable work. For more than 50 years, ECHO has empowered adults with disabilities to achieve their optimal level of personal, social, and economic success. As demand for our services continues to grow, so does the need for inclusive workplaces where individuals can build skills, earn a paycheck, and take pride in their accomplishments.

What began as an idea to create additional employment opportunities has grown into a social enterprise where participants can gain hands-on experience in production, packaging, inventory management, quality control, and fulfillment. Every bag roasted helps create pathways to greater independence while delivering exceptional coffee to our community.

 

Why We Roast

The demand for accessible employment opportunities for adults with disabilities continues to outpace the availability of inclusive workplaces. ECHO Coffee Roasters was created to help bridge that gap. Our roasting operation provides participants with the chance to learn transferable job skills in a supportive, real-world environment. From weighing and packaging to labeling and shipping, every step of the process is designed with those we support in mind.

Our signature blend, Origin Story, wasn't chosen overnight. It was developed right here at ECHO through countless cups shared, tasting notes compared, and new combinations tested. We experimented, refined, and tasted again until we found a blend that felt distinctly ECHO. Origin Story is delicately crafted from coffees sourced from four countries of origin, creating a cup with remarkable depth and complexity while remaining approachable enough to enjoy every day.

Using our accessible, state-of-the-art Bellwether roasting system, our team here at ECHO develops each batch to highlight the unique flavors and character of the coffee while maintaining consistency from roast to roast. Whether you prefer the balanced profile of our Medium Roast or the bold richness of our Dark Roast, every bag is roasted with care and attention to detail.
